challenge ( n./v. 挑战):课文中用于描述学习困难,如 “Physics is a
challenge for Wang Mei.” 。 搭配 “face a challenge” 或 “challenge
oneself to do sth.” ,如 “challenge yourself to learn a new skill” 。
focus ( v. 集中):强调学习注意力, “You can focus on the key
words.” ,固定结构 “focus on + 名词 / 动名词 ” ,例 “focus on
understanding concepts” 。
compare ( v. 比较):学习方法描述, “Compare related concepts to
understand them.” , 搭配 “compare...with...” , 如 “compare different
learning styles” 。
improve ( v. 提 升 ) : 能 力 发 展 , “ Improve your study skills
through practice.” , 名 词 “ improvement” , 如 “ make progress and
improvement” 。

confidence ( n. 自信) : 学习心理描述, “Build confidence in

sth.” 。
