No one knows exactly who invented knitting. It happened in different areas of the world at

different times. The exact origins of knitting are a bit hard to place. Most recorded works say its

origins come from the Middle East,which then spread to countries far away via trade routes. Other

nations favored the elaborate Arabic-influenced knitting styles. Origins of knitting in Arabic

areas can be traced back to fishermen, who would use the technique to create nets. Kniting

originated in Egypt somewhere between 500 AD & 1200 AD.The oldest known knitted object and

pieces come from Egypt, which are socks from the 1Ith century. These socks are quite complex,

using a special stitch and detailed color work. In the same tomb where the socks were found, other

fragments were present.

Has it ever occured to you that your mind has in store more than you could imagine? Just

think about all the phenomena that appear in your mind without you willing them there.

Take dreams as an example. You don't command them into being, yet your dreams emerge

from somewhere. Memories act the same way. You're in the kichen preparing soup and

remember a day from childhood when your fanily was eating steak. You didn't summon that

memory. I showed up on its own. Other types of thoughts also tum up without help. You're siting

in traffie when the answer to a computer problem hits you. How did that happen? You weren't

thinking about the computer problem, but your mind created the thought and somehow

pushed it into existence. Those dreams, memories, and thoughts didn't come from outside of you.

You generated them through means hidden from you.
